Shula played for Dartmouth and by all accounts, bleeds Green with all his heart. True, he's been out of the game for a while. But hopefully he can help with the program.

Looks like they're grooming him to replace Teevens when he retires. Good move by Dartmouth.

If so, not exactly a youth movement. He and Teevens were teammates back in the day.

The Shula name will also help with recruiting. At least with the fathers.

Is it? Shula hasn't even coached in 22 years (and he wasn't very good even then).

Dick Vermeil won a Super Bowl after a 15-year gap between stops. And its not like the guys who followed Shula did much better with the Bengals...

I've met Shula, and he's a rah-rah type of guy. He probably should have been coaching in college all along rather than the NFL. I agree that he will need to get up to speed, and hopefully he's up to the task!
