PHILADELPHIA - Monday afternoon, the Ivy League and Philadelphia Big Five announced Mitchell Holcomb as Pitcher of the Week for his strong performance on the mound last Saturday at USC Upstate. The sophomore right-hander staved off the Spartan attack in game two of the series, locking down the batting order to just two hits and no runs through six innings of work. Despite the game eventually falling USC Upstate's way, Holcomb retired to the dugout touting eight strikeouts and the lead.
