SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Battling chilly conditions and a hostile crowd, Penn was unable to overcome a resilient Wofford squad, falling to the Terriers by a 8-6 mark. The Quakers trailed nearly the entire game before knotting the score in the seventh inning behind a deep home run by junior Sean Phelan, but relief pitching failed to slow down Wofford in their final at-bats, surrendering a homer in the seventh and an insurance run to start the eighth.
