Good for them.

Now, can someone get a NCAA dispensation for Rutgers to schedule Princeton in 2019?

I think that Harvard and Yale fans are in for a treat.

Not clear to me is why the "construction" of Harvard Stadium can't be delayed for a week so that The Game can be played at Harvard as usual.

Unfortunately I think the ship has sailed on that. It was a golden opportunity to showcase Ivy League Football to the nation. It’s a shame no one at Princeton had the foresight to seize the opportunity.

Don't know why Fenway can't erect about 2500 temp. bleachers in left field.....like they did for the Pats in the '60s......and I hate it when both benches are on the same sideline.....there is enough room, IMO, for a bench on the first base line. just tarp over the warning track..

I don’t believe it’s construction either. Harvard is playing every other game at home next season so they could delay construction just one week. I think it’s to sell more tickets and boost tv ratings. Fenway seats 38,000 compared to 31,000 at Harvard Stadium. The Ivy a League is not above trying to make money on sports.

They may need to if ticket sales are strong enough.

Maybe Big Papi can do the pre-game coin flip.

Would be kind of cool to have someone with a Red Sox and a H or Y connection do it. Theo Epstein, perhaps?

The sightlines for football at Fenway aren't really that good.

It's more of an "atmosphere draw"....

Yup, sure seems like something could be easily done regarding temp bleachers by the Green Monster. It's not like people go to Fenway expecting comfort. Make it student seating or something. http://www.anygivensaturday.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=26669&stc=1

Having just watched the Dartmouth v. Brown game in Fenway a month ago, I can say that Fenway was a surprisingly (to me) good venue for watching football. The suites and other amenities are great for socializing and having fun, the Ivy League way. The bars and amenities around the stadium are terrific. The game in Fenway will be a big attraction. It will be a sell out and special game.

Do they sell the Dugouts as Field Level Suites? Because, I think that would be a unique way to watch the game. Right by the action, plus shelter from bad weather. Get it catered and have a good time.

I can see the seats where I sat this past September.

That said, this is like what Target Field is doing for NDSU against Butler. A free money game to drive 3.5hrs to tap into the alumni down in the Twin Cities. I guess it helps when the Twins (I am still surprised that Dave St. Peter is allowing this to happen) want the best show in the Tri-State area to come down and showcase their abilities in front of 35K+ fans for a game check.
