Lindsey brings a wealth of football experience as a former NFL player and coach. His resume includes over 30 years of football coaching at the high school, college and professional ranks. NDSU generally expands on this by saying that the overwhelming experience of the FargoDome causes first time kids to struggle - it's the size, dimensions, light, crowd, noise, etc. It's a different feel than most have experienced as not many FCS schools have played inside a 19k person dome stadium.

However, teams that come back again (the next year generally so that most of the team has experienced it before) tend to not be as impacted. Less false starts/delay of games/wasted timeouts. They figure out how to communicate and adapt with it, etc.

One can also say that is because they have played the Bison before and recognize the type of game they play but the home field advantage being less overwhelming is also a contributing factor.

So the FU and Wofford folks wouldn't have experienced kids that were here and played the first time. Whereas SD just was here.
