Taylor
Jensen/Cox

Those would be my 3 players that would get the votes for player(s) of the year in their respective category.

I may be a homer but I say Jackson wins it.

The guy is a game changer. His stat line doesn't do him justice.

Anyone that has actually watched him play would probably say Jackson.

Same could be said about Taylor. He has single handedly kept WIU in games on defense. He will be 10yds behind a play and then come and make the tackle. Think Dylan Cole when he was at MSU who is now a Cowboys.

Taylor and Farley would blow up the OVC.

I would not trade Cox for any of the other freshman. It will be fun to see how this plays out the next 3 years.

Jackson would blow up any conference. Bridges is a quality player too but not at Jacksons level.

He is good but doubt he would blow up the CAA and MVFC. He would probably be All-Conference. We will agree to disagree and see how his playoff performance enhances his stats against quality teams.

Same....same.

And to think, Cox was actually a one-time WIU commit...damn.

Well I am grateful that he is a Bison. When 6 of the MVFC teams and most of them from the West want a guy, I will believe he is a guy to go for.

He is, IMO, the next Buchanan winner and probably going to be better than DeLuca, which says a lot about him as a player.

I knew the reply, no one player or team not from the MVC is worthy of anything.

I said he would probably be AC. I saw him at Frisco. He is a very good player. I would take Taylor before Jackson.

I love Darius Jackson. He singlehandedly got the entire Bison team fired up before the 2015 natty by talking **** to Wentz behind the north endzone while the Bison were lined up waiting to make their entrance onto the field.

IIRC that wasn't Jackson.

I thought it was #40 based on the accounts I've heard (I think Bison beat writer Jeff Kolpack even had a reference to it in his book) but I or the people I heard it from could be wrong (about the player's number.... not that it happened).

If it was 40 it was Jackson.

I was under the impression it was Landrum though.

Oh well, it's irrelevant now anyway.

In his seven starts (all conference games), Gresch Jensen averaged 332 yds/game passing, which would have placed him sixth in the country, and missed the end of two of those games (more than half of a quarter due to injury in one game and more than a quarter and a half due to being up so far in another).
