I hope the committee doesn’t view the top 8 in the same way ags does or JMU’s half of the bracket is considerably harder. So much for getting a benefit from being #1.

Austin Peay would lose to either team. Can you think of any teams more deserving of being ranked this season? I can't.

What has Delaware done to “deserve” to be ranked? Beat Stony Brook? If one decent win is the only qualifier, many teams would “deserve” a look

There are probably gonna be a team or two get in without one decent win so yes this year it seems like the final couple spots might come down to that one decent win and over SBU is a pretty good one.

I originally liked the expansion because there was more football, but I think it needs one major switch. No conference rematches in the round of 16. When it was 16 teams, you didn't have to worry about those types of games, but with 24, it's set up where there's almost a guarantee you're going to see at least 3 rematches in the second round. More football is good, but I want to see football that I didn't see during the regular season, and not Maine and UNH or Richmond and W&M or SDSU and NDSU playing for a second time before one of those even got to play another playoff game.

MTfan4life
November 19th, 2017, 10:15 AM
I've said it once and I'll say it a thousand times. You can't keep New Hampshire out of the playoffs, no matter how hard they try! When they won their 7th game, they were guaranteed of a bid in the committee's eyes, regardless of how embarrassing they'd perform in the season finale. The team got smoked by 4-7 Holy Cross and shut out by 4-7 Albany, but that's not enough to keep them out of the playoffs.

My only misses really were EWU, and McNeese over Nicholls.... although I had them outside the bubble. When you throw out NCA&T, and add the AQ's Lehigh, San Diego and CCSU, I felt the bracket was about right. I thought EWU had the stronger pedigree than NAU, but that was open to debate. Nicholls, thought that was probably the worst of the at large picks by the committee. I was seriously conflicted with New Hampshire as well.
