Valpo, once the worst team in D-I, defeated Dayton today to finish the season at 6-5. Nice job, Crusaders.

That's a real accomplishment for Cecchini and his team. Sure would be nice to have him back at Lehigh.

Pity that their law school is closing.

There is no such thing as pity for a law school closing....This should be a celebration for all. Anytime you can put less lawyers out on the street chasing ambulances, the better...

I don't know the back story on the Valpo law school, but I suspect accreditation issues with the ABA. That nasty little guild is more concerned with square footage in the library than the quality of instruction. Great for the state schools that would monopolize legal education; bad for schools that struggle to pay for madated facility expansion.

Amazing what the right coach can do. Are you listening, Davidson?

Cecchini interested in Holy Cross or vice versa?

Cecchini interested in Holy Cross or vice versa?

His ultimate career goal might be a head coaching job in the Patriot League.

On the other hand, it's worth remembering that three PFL head coaches have moved directly to head coach positions in FBS.

I think he would be a good grab for anyone. I know a lot of people would like to see him back on South Mountain, but I don't see that happening. If he's looking to move, does he want to go to a league with such restrictions as the PL, if he can get a gig with more free-rein in recruiting? I am sure he will be getting a lot of interest.
