Too bad that DeLuca is trending towards undrafted PFA right now. I think he's as talented as any defender in the FCS and is crazy athletic for his size. He's sacrificing himself for his team right now playing when he's clearly not 100%. Hopefully he gets some time to heal up after the season and can tear it up at the combine and at pro day.

Here are some lesser known names getting some buzz:

S Tray Mitchell, Eastern Illinois
OL Justin Evans, SC State
CB Ryan McKinley, Montana
DE Richard Jarvis, Brown
CB Chris Seisay, Portland State
P Joe Zema, Incarnate Word
S Justin Strong, Montana
DE Chris Lee, Norfolk State
CB Donovan Olumba, Portland State
WR Jawill Davis, Bethune-Cookman
S Kahlid Hagens, UT Martin

It is not widely known but Charleston Southern DE Anthony Ellis is likely going to require surgery this off-season so you may not see him in an all-star game. He was a player who was expected to be at least a high PFA but now his medical will cloud his status.

If he tests well at workouts and his medical grade is an A or B then I expect him to get drafted but right now I'm putting him as more of a PFA because I don't know where he will be and he clearly isn't playing 100% so it is hard to know if he can return to the way he was before or if he is damaged goods. I hope he can return back to normal once he is healed.

They are. I was just mentioning the highest rated guys for the most part right now. I will post some new names next month but wanted to go ahead and get a list out on here now for those who are interested. I know a few of those names I just mentioned won't be talked about by the media for a while but are getting a lot of buzz already. You may see the NAU WR get a Senior Bowl invite and be in the first wave of combine invites but you won't hear the media buzzing on him.

He was looking better this weekend. The last few weeks, he looked a step slower catching players, where in the past he would have made the play.

Hopefully Roc can get back to 100%. He hasn't been great the past couple weeks and Grass has been using him pretty sparingly since Tramel Terry has really stepped up. I think he'll defintely turn some heads in the playoffs if he stays healthy.

Somehow you are missing Princeton 6'4" 215 lb stud wide receiver Jesper Horsted

you need to add him just for his cool name alone

this past game against Harvard:

13 receptions
246 yards receiving
2 tds

for the year, 2nd in FCS in receptions/game at 9.2.

CB Tremon Smith, Central Arkansas, Sr.- 19 TKL, 0.5 TFL, 5 INT/returned one for TD, 9 PBU in 7 games.

Tre tidbits: Tremon used to be a punt returner (may still do it) before Cedric Battle took over that spot freeing up Tre to take care of the CB duties and conserving energy. Five INTs in 7 games? How does he know? Tre used to play QB in high school so he thinks like a QB. Watch him jump routes in games.

He is having a big year. Both of those junior receivers at Princeton are having a great year and will get strong looks by the NFL next year.

I really like Tremon Smith. He has not gotten the NFL love that I think he should. I have him as a PFA but many rejected him. If he could put up 2-3 more picks he would be in my top 5 for the Buchanan. He has no shot at it with his current numbers but a few more picks and he is in the running.

Here are some lesser known names getting some buzz:

S Tray Mitchell, Eastern Illinois
OL Justin Evans, SC State
CB Ryan McKinley, Montana
DE Richard Jarvis, Brown
CB Chris Seisay, Portland State
P Joe Zema, Incarnate Word
S Justin Strong, Montana
DE Chris Lee, Norfolk State
CB Donovan Olumba, Portland State
WR Jawill Davis, Bethune-Cookman
S Kahlid Hagens, UT Martin

It is not widely known but Charleston Southern DE Anthony Ellis is likely going to require surgery this off-season so you may not see him in an all-star game. He was a player who was expected to be at least a high PFA but now his medical will cloud his status.

Zima from UIW is a really nice punter (Aussie). Ball has crazy hang time and long.

Strange how he hasn't gotten any NFL looks yet we've had dozens of NFL teams come to Estes so far this year to watch WHO? If it isn't Tre...then who? Hildebrand is a good QB but not sure about NFL. We have some D linemen that are beasts. Also some O line guys that are rock solid. I am curious as to see who they are watching on gameday while holding their cells and clipboards...

I did not say that nobody has seen him, because I know a few teams stopped in, but he is not getting the love that I think he should have gotten. To me all 32 teams area scouts and some national scouts should be coming through instead of a dozen area scouts. I have only heard free agent so far on him. I will be curious to see if he gets more love later this year. I'm not sure what he will run in the 40 but if he runs 4.5 or better I do think someone will scoop him up quickly after the draft. I know of the two scouts who came through in the spring one gave him a free agent grade and the other rejected him.

Good to see some teams are liking Lauletta. I've liked him for sometime.

Also, Streveler is looking more and more legit. I wasn't nearly as impressed with him transitioning to an NFL quarterback last year. I don't know if his arm strength and footwork really improved, but I'm starting to see some potential there.

He is getting heavy looks. The issue for a lot of teams is that he will be a tweener. He is ideally a PFA but if he runs as fast as I think he will, then I could see someone eventually taking him in round 7 or signing him to a 20k or more bonus as a UDFA. I have been told he should run in the 4.7s but if he just runs 4.9s I think he may be in the convo in the 7th round.

I just see Kyle as a free agent but some people see him as high as the 5th or 6th round. I would expect him to get an invite to the Shrine and be 50/50 for the combine.

It wouldn't surprise me to see him in the 4.7 range. I remember last time we played Sammy Eli broke loose on a read option and PJ Hall tracked him down in the open field. I was in shock. Hall is a beast.

Almost famous

Kiper: LT Brandon Parker (http://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/555918/brandon-parker), North Carolina A&T

You might be thinking that North Carolina A&T sounds familiar. That's because it's where Bears rookie Tarik Cohen, who burst onto the scene this season, starred. Parker was an important part of Cohen's rushing for 5,619 yards and 56 touchdowns in his career. Talk about a guy with experience, durability and athleticism. Parker could earn his third straight MEAC offensive lineman of the year award this season. He has started 44 straight games. At 6-7, 309 pounds, he's a knee bender in pass protection with long arms and good feet. He mirrors well against pass-rushers and plays with an edge. The Aggies are undefeated, and Parker is a key cog. Obviously, the NFL is a step up from the MEAC, so Parker will need some time to adjust. But he's a high-upside, developmental option in the middle rounds.

I'm sure either they or the Shrine will invite him. If I were him I would go with the Shrine Game. NFPLPA had been playing at StubHub but has been kicked out and going to Rose Bowl.

You are right. His numbers aren't what they should be because he is being held most every play. I think him beefing up to 300 lbs. without losing quickness makes him more appealing to the NFL.

The Rose Bowl is a very good place to play. It is just that with all-star games it is best to have consistency and play in the same place yearly. That's why the Shrine had taken a step back and the NFLPA had caught up to them because over the years they had been tight on money and changed locations.

I could see both of these guys getting a Senior Bowl invite, depending on if say Falk or Rudolph declined. There are a lot of QBs who could possibly get a Senior Bowl invite so far. Falk, Rudolph, Kurt Benkert, JT Barrett, Baker Mayfield, Danny Etling, Riley Ferguson, Jeremiah Briscoe, Mike White, Matt Linehan, Kyle Lauletta, and even Nic Shimonek or Nick Stevens.

I tell you a sleeper who has risen a lot is UTSA's Dalton Sturm. I'm surprised Gil did not mention him, Connor Jessop of Shepherd, and Peter Pujals of Holy Cross. All of them have gotten some love.

A little from the worthless paper the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Even before the 2017 season started, University Central Arkansas Coach Steve Campbell said he knew there were at least two NFL candidates on UCA's roster -- senior defensive back Tre Smith and senior linebacker George Odum.
Six games into the season, Campbell said the count is up to four -- Smith, Odum, senior defensive end Chris Chambers and senior quarterback Hayden Hildebrand.
Odum, 6-1, 190 pounds, and Smith, were first-team All-Southland Conference selections last season and were named to the this season's preseason All-Sun Belt team.
Scouts have routinely asked about both over the past two seasons, Campbell said.
Chambers, 6-2, 228, was named second-team All-Southland last season, but his play thus far as a senior has begun to turn heads. His eight tackles for loss, including 2˝ sacks, ranks tied for fourth in the Southland Conference.
"Chambers is a very good football player," Campbell said. "He was very good last year, but he's gotten even better. He's playing very good against the run, and he's very good at rushing the passer."
Hildebrand said last fall he expected to join his father's financial advisory firm in Bossier City, La., after he graduated, but Campbell said scouts speak as if he might have a different job opportunity.
