Villanova has beaten 2 winless PL teams. Losses to Temple & UAlbany.

I think this is a watershed game for definitely Nova & probably Towson.

Cats need to get back on track & real soon!!

Cannot decide who I think will win this game against .500 teams.

Villanova (2-2; 0-1) @ Towson (2-2; 0-1)
Saturday, 7pm @ Towson

You're consistent Gangtackle11 - for the Albany game you originally listed the start time as 6 PM ET when it was actually 7 PM ET, and for this week's game at Towson you list the start time as 7 PM ET when it is actually 6 PM ET. I'll forgive you though. ;) xdrunkyx

I'll be attending this game. Hopefully the Wildcats bounce back from their tough loss at Albany (and beat Towson for the first time in three tries when I attend a Villanova vs Towson game).

I think Nova had a let down against Albany not to take away anything from the Danes but after playing FBS Temple close all game, then blowing Lafayette out they were riding a high and Albany knocked them off that high horse. With 2 losses including a conference loss they'll be refocused and should be able to put Towson away early. They've had key contributions from true freshmen this year which bodes well for the future on the Main Line.

Villanova had a few injuries against Albany - the two that I remember are the starting RB and starting TE. That said, they're a very good team and I think they'll rebound with a good game and a win.

The biggest injury is they lost preseason all-American & CAA DPOY candidate Rob " Quaddy" Rolle to a major lower body injury. Coach said on CAA call it's a bad one. Bell & Gudzak are banged up, but expected to play.

Im not so sure about the let down. Albany was physical from the opening whistle. Completely took away Nova ground game. It's why the play calls in OT are so puzzling for me.

Not related to this weeks game, but very sad to hear about the passing of Bob Capone today

Wow. Sorry to hear that.

RIP Bob! He almost singlehandedly kept Villanova football alive in the post-Howie Long, pre-Andy Talley era (1981-1985)...especially with his Bob Hope fundraiser.

Nova is definitely w/o starting preseason AA safety Rob Rolle & most likely their leading rusher (Matt Gudzak) & leading receiver (TE Ryan Bell).

Offense will be challenged, but it's a must game & I expect the defense to keep them in the game.

This season will go downhill fast on new Coach Mark Ferrante if Towson pulls the upset.

17-10 Nova, but I'm not mortgaging the farm.

I guess bednarczk injured? Schetelich took over first drive in redzone and completed td pass, since has 2 int

Nova09

Not that anyone should care, but Towson ends 3rd throwing int deep in own territory, Nova looks to extend 10-9 lead, instead throws int to give it right back

...which is followed immediately by sack fumble Nova recovery. Next play td, 17-9

There was just a bad injury to a Towson player in the game; he was strapped to and taken off on a back board and motorized cart. I couldn’t tell who the player was or what happened to him, but his teammates called for medical staff immediately after the injury occurred.

Towson missed fg, not sure why they didn't go for 4th and 3, still 17-9 629 left, and still no Nova 2nd half completions

Nova fumbles backward, but recovers to salvage a 3 and out, punt to Towson 439 left
