Brad Wright was calling on his cell phone from Bryan.
The first-year head coach of the Texas State Bobcats was driving toward his home base in San Marcos after several days on the recruiting trail.
On the trip, Wright and new assistant coach Ben Norton had been through Plano, Lufkin, Palestine and Humble.
"Luckily I'm with one of my assistants," Wright said. "Ben's in charge of the road map."
