The announcer said that a record number of tickets had been sold (+22,000), but I'd be surprised if more than 10,000 ever made it into the stadium. There was some heavy duty tailgating going on.

Just for the record last week we had 8103 against Sacred Heart. Tonight we posted 6672 and I think that was a stretch . Home for a CAA game , weather was great not even a slight breeze and less people. Go figure.

A little over 7,000 in Hanover to watch Dartmouth's victory over Holy Cross.

We should have done better than that. Great weather, home opener, night game, regional opponent...

*sigh*

2010 - 24,685
2011 - 25,145
2012 - 26,185
2013 - 26,213
2014 - 26,788
2015 - 26,990
2016 - 27,411
2017 - ? 35,000 is a big reach, maybe shoot for 28,000.

If we are fortunate enough to be 3-0 in conference play going into that game, then maybe SFA fans will show.

Let's strive to beat 30 this year. If you are 3-0 and we are 2-0 in conference this could be a great crowd.

That would be the student stand...construction funded by the students, including yours truly while it was being built.

My 7.5 year old son and I have made it to the end of the MVSU and RMU games. No place else I would rather be. Late in the game we work our way down and towards the middle as people are leaving like crazy.

UR Sellouts - it's pretty well known among the VA schools and a bit of a joke, despite the fact they continue to shrink the number of seats in their stadium, now down to 8,200. This is because the end zone for students was usually empty - though it didn't stop UR from continuing to report "sellouts". UR has a long history - even back to old City Stadium days - of overinflating their attendance into the laughable zone.

I have no idea why UR does this other than to try and make themselves feel or appear more self-important. It's obvious they don't sellout when you see the pictures from the game. They are also required to provide 1,000 seats to their CAA opponent who has to return the unsold tickets prior to the game. No way is there some heated demand that would suddenly suck all these up.

I saw a few quality backups on NDSU squad, and seems the future for NDSU looks great! Sammy got to play a ton of freshman in 2nd half of Nicholls game. Hopefully they will gain some much needed experience of live action.
