Our running game is showing weaknesses against physical defenses. We've had a ton of problem piecing together scoring drives. It doesn't help when you fumble on the 2.

Hopefully we can clean up some of the execution problems and make other teams honest with our passing game otherwise we stand to get upset by a physical team sooner rather than later.

Very happy with our defense thus far this season though.

Seriosuly though, is Maine any good?

I think their defense is solid. Same as the previous year. Their offense was not good outside the one long TD run. Their D gave us a lot of problems along with the fact that we seem inacapable of going one game without a lot of penalties and several turnovers. Our O needs a kick in the rear. In fairness we were a penalty and a call away from scoring 42 however you could argue some calls throughout the game. Maine is good but not great. We were sloppy plus they had solid D. IMHO.

JMU did not execute well on offense today and did not have the best rhythm. I believe this was partly self-induced however Maine plays a very physical brand of football and they did a good job of severely limiting our run game until the 4th quarter.

I believe that there isn't a single team left on their schedule that they couldn't theoretically beat, including UMass. With that said, I see them finishing 6-4 or 7-3.

So, that bodes well for us...just gotta stick with what we know how to do. Don't get tricky...just play your game.
