My prediction is a 45-17 victory for the Jacks. My 3 things to watch for:

How does Hines do against MVFC competition? He racked up all of his stats last year against NEC foes, this game will determine if he's the real deal. I think Rozeboom was jobbed out of the Jerry Rice award, we'll see tonight if he's Hines is legit.

How does Tommy Stuart (QB transfer from Boise State) play? Duquesne's QB from last year graduated, so they have a new signal caller who could bring growing pains.

How does SDSU's interior defense hold up, especially against a power runner? A depleted Defensive line and young linebacker group could have issues.

Im gonna say Jacks 52-7, they make a statement early. I can see them giving up an early punt or kick return and thats about it! Hopefully we can see them play some non starters in the 4th quarter so they can get some experience for if we need them down the stretch.

Hard to tell. Might be tough being a week day. A lot of our fan base has to drive a way just to get to the stadium. I can see some people not going due to school/work tomorrow. I'm hoping for 10k, would be tickled with 12k.

Should be a better game than MVSU! The Dukes have a couple playmakers at least. 45-17 sounds about right but i wouldnt be surprised if the score is higher on the Jacks side.

Good question. Hopefully at the end of the 3rd quarter as long as it's under control. Get enough game time to knock the rust off and get out. Would be nice to get the backup QB some reps, because TC is definitely susceptible to injuries. No one has really talked about it, because you don't want to jinx it, but with the way he plays, the backup QB could see significant time this year again (Lujan helped us a lot last year). Here's to hoping he stays healthy all year.

Will be interesting what the official attendance ends up being (remember, SDSU reports actual attendance, not paid). Student section and west side appear pretty full, East side seems to have a lot of late arrivals.

This is just a massacre. The Dukes usually have a bunch of FBS transfers and a deeper overall talent pool than most NEC teams.

It is unreal how deep SDSU is at skill positions this year.

It's on real how well the offensive line played. Taryn christion untouched all day. Opening holes ceiling edges for the running backs in the first drive of the second half nice performance by the fat guys as coach Stig puts it. Attendance was 12200.

Unknown opponent on a Thursday nite before a 3 or 4 day weekend. We barely got to the stadium in time after work(construction Sioux Falls to Brookings is a mess). Jake is good! TC had some serious jitters for some reason. Dallas is beat up but he looks bigger than last year(I didn't know that was possible), and the Oline is already in a war of attrition, as Wier went down and redshirts have already been pulled. Watching Jake play is something we are just going to have to savor every moment for his last season(and then see how his brother plays RB after that), he is just something else in a whole other universe. Defense looks solid, stopped what was supposed to be a really good running back.

All in all a B-(TC needs to step it up. Dallas was just working on 1/2 to 3/4 speed). Lot of things to improve upon to be ready for Montana State

During the half-time show they had an interview with Goedert where he said he put on about 20 lb of muscle in the off-season. Now up to 6'5", 270 pounds!

While I'd like to believe this, I also remember what happened to StFU a few years ago at YSU. It wasn't pretty. NEC teams just can't match up with the size and speed.
