When I was six I went to the county fair. One game involved kids driving RC NASCAR vehicles (I had Dale Earnhardt's #3). Since we were all small children we had no idea what we were doing. We were in a one lap race. It took 20 minutes to determine a winner.

The three overtimes to this football game reminded me of that.

He had the chance to be a hero and missed it. His class standing is inconsequential.

He was only one contributor to whatever the hell those overtime sequences were. On top of that, he was put in that position by a playcalling wimp.

I can't speak to the quality of football played in regulation. Maybe it was solid. It was nowhere near solid in overtime.

Catching the McNeese @ Nichols game? The game is quite a barnburner. Nichols goes up 34-29 with 4 min left. Then McNeese just misses taking it to house a on kick off. After penalty, and couple of rushes, Cowboys sweep right for team. Mcneese up 35-34 after 2 or conversion fails. Just under 3 min left.

Good luck to WIU the rest of the way! Seemed like a solid, disciplined and classy bunch. Best part of the game for me was NOT sitting in the rain-glad it held off... Horrifically disappointed in TTU, terrible O-line QB play and our supposed stud transfer QB didn't even start and didn't look good when he did play. Hats off / much respect to WIU - on to hockey season...

I watched most of the game with my dad who is an old Syracuse fan. They are much improved from previous, but CCSU, while they were not horrible, didn't look good at times. Their secondary was burned more than a few times. So it was really hard to say how good Syracuse will be. They got no running game.

Central played too far off the WRs all night. Considering the difference in size and talent, 'Cuse played a very vanilla offense against an overmatched oppenent. Hard to tell if they will be any good.

Central got burned on a few plays, but made very few errors and mistakes. Just 1 fumble, no INTs. We couldn't run against them either, and were limited in our passing game because of too many poor passes and dropped balls.

I think CCSU will far much better in upcoming games vs. FCS and NEC opponents. Orange will have to show a lot more if you expect a major improvement. They were workman like in execution of their game plan, but we're not a juggernaut or anything like that.
