Abilene? Seriously?Abilene may be a little boring but it's kind of centrally located, you only have to drive a couple of hours to reach major places like Austin or the DFW area. And DFW is where a large part of our students come from. And honestly are places like Thibodaux, Lake Charles or Nacogdoches any more desirable locations than Abilene? Because I don't think so.

Decent size, centrally located as mentioned earlier, and really the only game in town.

I like Lake Charles, of course I lived right outside of Lafayette for 11 years (95-06).

Nope only place Ive ever seen that. Plus they have a festival for everything. A festival for a coonass is just an excuse for Catholics to drink as much as possible.

Um, excuse me, but Mr. George Hamilton IV would take issue with that...

What's wrong with flat? (https://goo.gl/maps/jSuNXcKAN2t) (that's about 3 miles north of our campus, btw)

Plus, they're close to Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin.
They've got their own airport.

Seems like they got some things going on down there.
