Gales was a football player for Southern University when he was paralyzed in a game against Georgia.

Today he was able to take a few steps with some assistance.

That's great to hear that he's getting mobile again. I remember hearing about that when it happened and it seemed like they weren't sure if he was going to be able to move anything even below his neck ever again.

One of the most worthwhile charities in the world is The Miami Project To Cure Paralysis. Founded by Marc and Nick Buoniconti. Marc was paralyzed in a game against ETSU while playing for The Citadel.
