happens to all of us. Yeah, I did Boone to Greenville, not exactly campus to campus or stadium to stadium.

For some reason, I have never gone to a game at UR stadium, which is a little more than 3 miles from my apartment (it isn't on UR's campus.) I very nearly went to the Furman-UR quarter-final in 2005, but a Christmas party got in the way. William and Mary is about 50 miles, Hampton is about 80. JMU is about 130. The nearest SoCon chool is Elon, a little more than 200 miles away.

Boone is a good 315 miles from Richmond, and Chattanooga is about 540. Total all the miles I've done going to regular season games in Boone and championship games in Chattanooga since I moved to Richmond in 2003, and I could have driven to UR stadium and back about 3,000 times.

For USD the 5 closest campus to campus would be:

Cal Poly - 320
Northern AZ - 490
Southern Utah - 500
Sac State - 505
UC Davis - 520

You would think it would be good for both schools for Cal Poly to be on your schedule. Our baseball teams are playing a 3 game series this weekend.

I agree. One could only hope that the football team would be as successful as the baseball team was this weekend.

Jesus. Is it REALLY 320 miles to SLO?

And I must amend my earlier post. I inadvertently omitted USD from my list (I think). They are, in all likelihood, the second closest FCS team to me.

UNH at 164 miles wouldn't even fall into my top ten! Just off the top of my head Northeastern, Harvard, Brown, URI, Iona, Fordham, Marist and Albany are all closer. And actually Dartmouth is closer as well.

3. Univ of New Hampshire, 174 miles
4. ZooMass, 175 miles

I believe that Bozeman (MSU) is only 200 miles from Missoula (UM). Bozeman is also at least 550 from Bismarck. Did you perhaps use Billings as the location for Montana State?

Edit: I guess we need to count out bkrownd too since he does not live in the contiguous. Sorry b.

We really like it. None of the McMansions, plenty of yard, several parks, a lake. Definitely beats most of the new construction around here.

Hehe, I can not for the life of me figure out where you live... so if there's a record for most puzzling location, then you have that.

Those are some BIG distances.
