Seems the prevailing opinion is Samford is the most precarious. I think the AGS poll has them in as they should be. It'll be interesting to see the dynamic that NC A&T presents. AGS says they should be the last team in but with no representation on the committee does a MEAC team get the benefit of the doubt over a 7 win CAA team like Albany? We shall see.

Yeah that's a tough one. Albany was only 4-4 in the CAA. Hard to rationalize a 6th place in conference team making the playoffs.... Unless of course you play in the MVFC hahaha! ; ) Looks like we might finally play each other! I know it sucks but it would be cool to have you guys up here in the new stadium.

Check their respective records vs. the top 25 AGS. I have NH ahead of Albany but it is a close one. H to H should tip it to Albany but who knows. Conference records is important too.

I honestly don't mind it as it is. It's a niche thing for people that care and you should have to work to find it just as we all did. My basic thought is if the unwashed masses want to be spoon fed something that doesn't perform as well then so be it. I don't give a rat's ass.

But, I ain't turning anybody down that wants to use the best implement out there for judging a teams strength among it's peers either. Just saying, it's here, it's fee, we do all the work for you. If you want it, come get it. I ain't into having to work harder to promote for them to notice as well really.

IOW, I don't mind the Punk Rock, do it yourself thing as far as production but when it comes to promotion....screw it. xlolx

That isn't likely. I think it's the best poll, too (largely because I vote in it xsmiley_wix), but it's still a bunch of (mostly) anonymous message-board users. People would have to put their real names on the thing to be taken seriously by major outlets, I figure, and even then it's mostly fans with no official "credentials."

You know if you guys could get this done late Saturday night, you'd make the selection committees job much easier ;)

FWIW, the STATS poll did nail all 14 at large teams as well and also had the right group in the top 8 but there rankings amongst the top 8 were way off from what the committee had. Only The Citadel was placed correctly at #6 in their rankings.

Maybe we could say The Citadel was placed in the same spot and not use the word "correctly"? Sorry couldn't resist. It really was a log jam. Eh, in two weeks we will know a little better.

Do we continue to do weekly polls throughout the playoffs? I'm guessing no.

No, it's over until after the National Championship game. That one last poll and we're done until next year.

Do we take strength of schedule into account when determining the #1 at the end of the year? xconfusedxxconfusedx

Of course you would. What is wrong with some of you Sam guys whining about a very solid metric used to determine rankings? If you win in the playoffs you will be winning against some of the toughest competition the country has to offer. Sam Houston is or looks to be among the elite in the country but you don't look above any of the top 4 at this point. Now when you play them, you very well may be. That's a coin flip. But if you win the NC then you have bested and ran through a very strong schedule and you are the basic "National Conference" champion. There is no tougher conference out there than that.

Stop f'n whining like little girls that your schedule worked against you. It isn't your fault, but it is a factor whether you like it or not.

Jesus Christ you guys are worse than borderline MVFC teams of the past few years that have been left out. Didn't think that could be done.

BTW, if you only look at records and don't look at other factors when voting then you are hurting the product.
