UT Martin junior safety Kahlid Hagens was named National Defensive Player of the Week following his performance against Eastern Illinois where he had nine tackles, recovered a fumble and had a 52-yard interception return for a touchdown. In other news Jacksonville State remained No. 2 in the major FCS Top 25 polls.
