It'll be a predictable boring game & I'll go with Nova winning 20-10. Both teams have decent defenses but the difference in the game is UD doesn't have a QB.
The good news is after Saturday Delaware will have a new coaching staff & a new QB in tow for next year.

Delaware has to have one of if not the worst passing offenses in D1AA this season as they also had last year. Very minimal improvement over last years offense in passing the ball with success and consistency. I wonder will Walker accept a back up role next year or transfer down to a D2 or D3 school. In his 2 years under center just haven't seen anything to suggest he can lead a quality CAA team to the playoffs. Granted his receivers have all been subpar to be nice and the pocket protection has been iffy as well but changes definitely have to be made on that side of the ball.

Lots of interesting off-topic discussions there. There are relatively few Villanova football fans on that site at this point, but the discussion seems to be pretty good from what I've seen/participated in.

FWIW, whomever did the write up, I thought it was a Good write up on the Nova Game notes. Especially the section about the Nova defense vs JMU. (you all do have a good defense-even though more than half the game was a JMU freshman QB) and Since JMU did BBQ the Hens when they played, this definitely emphasizes whats in store for UD on that side of the ball.

Noticed that. It's basketball season so I'm sure our SID is distracted.

This is for the Battle of Blue trophy & you can throw out all the stats, etc. I expect the Dirty Birds to bring their best. I'm just hoping the boys from Nova can prevail in the end.

I'd expect a low scoring game and I'll say 17-10 Nova. 8-3 hopefully & a home playoff game in front of our 2500 faithful fans!!

He was hurt early. Statistically he was off to a bad start, but it wasn't a large sample.

Our offense did nothing all day, but like most FCS teams it goes south quick when you go to your backup.

Enjoy it. You might see them down the road soon,

I like Delaware's chances tomorrow if they protect the football.

Great game for the Wildcats from start to finish. I really do hope that Delaware get a goosd new coach and is back in the mix sooner than later. The CAA needs a competitive Delaware team going forward.

How about that weather? When I left our tailgate at 3:15, it was 68 degrees and sunny. Starting at halftime and continuing through the second half, we had 30 to 40 mile an hour winds. By the time I got back to my car, it was 42 degrees with a wind chill in the low 30s. Unbelievable.

I watched most or part of a number of games today - Penn/Cornell, IUP/Fairmont State, and Navy/East Carolina, in addition to Villanova/Delaware, plus I had my blinds open, and it was a similar story everywhere - nice early in the day/game, and then getting progressively windier and colder. I went for a walk about 11:30 AM this morning, and it was probably around 60 degrees and sunny and getting warmer. By the time I checked the temperature I'm guessing around 5-6 PM, it was 46 degrees and dropping.

When I passed the Ardmore Tire sign on 476 going South to the game, it said it was 75 degrees (so I regretted long sleeves and jeans, had considered shorts). On the way back North, it said 40 and if anything I should have worn more. I was surprised with the amount of success the kicking games had going north in the second half.

The wind/temperature change was pretty solid. Dropped 24 degrees in under 30 minutes, and the wind was blowing in a bunch of dust and smoke from a big marsh fire they had in Elkton, Maryland (the town that touches Newark, maybe 5 minutes from the stadium) about 2 hours before kickoff.

We feel the same about the rivalry with Maine... 13 years ago the series was actually tied, then we won 12 of the next 13. At least the games are usually close.

Carib. You definitely predicted, over sold, etc. our defense. They turned out to be better than our abysmal offense but not all that great. Looking forward to a reload of the program. The Harker / Ziady / Brock experiment has certainly failed. Now lets move on hopefully with better results. It has been painful being a UD supporter for the last five years.
