For the first time in the 10-year history of the Sgt. York Trophy, three teams shared the 2016 championship. Each Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and UT Martin finished 2-1 in this year's competition. After tiebreaker rules UT Martin will keep the traveling trophy for the third-straight year.
