This thread may not get much traction; however, this game could be closer than the lop-sided predictions on our CAA Pick-em thread indicates. Albany (5-4) is fighting for an outside chance of making the playoff on the strength of an FBS win and two final wins over a ranked, and previously ranked team (SB). UNH is trying to win out against Albany and Maine which would virtually guarantee a playoff spot. The variables look to lean UNH's way, with a 5-1 record over the last 6 games, and coming off an important bye week. However, the game has some off the aspects of the proverbial "trap game", particularly with rival Maine up next for the Northern Wildcats. Thoughts?

I don't think Albany has any shot at the playoffs; what's the best they could do, tied for fifth in conference?

Gattuso has said that which QB will start is a game-time decision. As predictable as the offense has been, whether you use a soph or a redshirt freshman at QB doesn't make a lot of difference.

This game scares me. We have a tradition of coming out flat following bye weeks. Hopefully our offense has incorporated some new wrinkles to start putting points on the board.

If Albany was to beat UNH and SB, while UNH beats Maine, UNH and Albany would be the only 2 team in CAA overall 7-4. While UNH would have the better conference record, Albany would have the head to head win and their FBS win. They would be in the playoff discussion.

Great to see the UNH coaching staff is as clueless as Albany.

I really don't understand why UNH tried to throw on 4th and 2.

Haha! Always the eternal optimist : ) We'll be pretty good next year. Definitely regressed a bit today. We once again were outflanked against the TE-Wing set to the boundary and they made us pay. Also, we stopped spilling the ball for some reason today which led to huge runs by Albany. Not sure why we switched back to the old squeeze philosophy that never worked in the first place.

Probably. A lot depending on how the Big Sky shakes out.

Were hoping so. Having lost 13 of the last 14 to UNH I'm not sure we will be favoredxconfusedx
But also feel like maybe we won't be out coached either for a change.

Looks like we could be playing Villanova, UNH, Maine, or UR after Thanksgiving.
