Young team that seems incapable of coming out focused vs what they feel is inferior teams. Look at their close conference games. NDSU of course, and then SIU, ISUr, and now MSU.

VMI with a huge effort in 2nd half, had 29-24 lead, ball at WCU's 17, but had a FG blocked w/1:35 to go. WCU had no timeouts, but one of their WR's got behind the VMI secondary for a 54 yard catch and run w/48 seconds to play.

VMI received the opening KO, and their returner got stripped and WCU led 7-0 after 12 seconds. Then WCU with an interception and runback to inside VMI's 20 for a short field that resulted in a TD.....WCU led 21-9 at the half.

VMI, with a R-Fr. QB in Coulling, and two freshman running backs (who combined for 210 yards), scored 3 TD's in 2nd half....took a 29-24 lead with 5 minutes remaining. Then VMI's Def. stuffed WCU on a 4th and 1 from the 'Cats 31......and then had that FG blocked w/95 seconds to play.

VMI lost 8 points on blocked kicks (2 PAT's and 2 FG's.)

Congrats to WCU, they scored more points....

The officiating was bad...but it was just bad. There is no grand conspiracy against JSU, that's ludicrous. 90% of the penalties against JSU were legit. If I'm angry about anything, it's the complete lack of discipline that has apparently become a way of life for this team.
