Jacksonville State will open the 2017 football season at the renovated Cramton Bowl in Montgomery in the inaugural Montgomery Kickoff Classic which will be televised on ESPN. The kickoff is played during "Week Zero" which is one week ahead of all other FCS teams starting the season.*
