So we go from receiving 41 points last week at 1-2 to 40 pts this week after a win on the road? If we don't beat Poly we are screwed.

I think this poll is getting worse every year. It used to be better than the Coaches/SIDs Poll... now I'm not so sure.

why are they still ranking Coastal?

"STATS" is following the NCAA's lead that CCU is a 1-AA indy this season....just playing the games with some extra schollies this year (I am guessing between 69 - 73.).

Like others have said...Cal Poly below Montana? Apparently winning at SDSU, losing in overtime to Nevada and beating Montana isn't enough to have Cal Poly above Montana. South Carolina State getting votes based on a win over FAMU? Indiana State 6 spots lower than an Illinois State team they just beat and have a better record then? Montana State getting votes?

As far as quality losses go one to UND is like Dollar Shave Club level of quality.

Why is SHSU number 2? I get why people are ranking them high, like 5-10 range. Personally I have them in the 10-15 range, but I totally get the 5-10 range. But #2????? based on what?

Based on how tight they played us in the semifinals last year, I guess.

They returned a ton of players off of that team.

You know.

The one we beat by 52.

Five Two.

FIFTY-TWO

FITTY TOO.

Their score plus fifty and two.

62-10.

That team.

I am not saying that we are 50 points better than them... but seriously, I don't get their ranking either.
We have played like hot garbage at times this season, but our only loss was at LSU, and it was closer than the scoreboard indicated. If we get the bugs worked out we will be very dangerous again... and I am pretty confident that while we won't be 52 points better than SHSU, we will be multiple scores better.

If you figure it out, let me know. I think we're realistically more in the 8-12 range. We'll learn more this week against SFA. But even with a win, I haven't seen anything to justify our ranking. On top of that injuries are starting to mount up. I think our secondary might be in trouble this week.

I mean SHSU could be the #2 team, I just don't understand what these voters have seen that suggest to them that SHSU is the #2 team. If you guys woop SFA that will go towards building your credibility, but I don't think it would make you #2 in my mind, not even if its like 85-0.

If it's 85-0 we would be a solid #2, but that isn't happening. What we know, we have another good offense, not my style but it works at least all but the best defenses. We have a good D line. Our secondary is still a mystery. What I need to see. How will the offense hold up against a better D and specifically a better D line. SFA wii start Taylor at qb. He's a better passer than Taylor. Let's see how the secondary performs. We will learn a lot about our team this week.

The jury seems to still be out on whether or not SFA is even top 25. So I really don't think SHSU would be a solid #2 even with an 85-0 win.

That being so. Anybody putting an 85-0 beat down on these guys is really good. I've watched enough of their games to know that. But anyway that's not going to happen. It's a long season and lots can happen. Stay tuned, I hope we are able to prove our doubters wrong by the end of the season.
