Albany's a great school. It has many great alum. I even like the city of Albany. But it's not quite Versailles. I love this quote from the story: "Stone told the school's student paper in '65: "When all of the wonderful landscaping plans are fulfilled, I think this campus will compare to Versailles, where there is also great formal architectural composition."


Um, what!?!?!?!?!? This is obviously written by someone who has never been there, and is just quoting pretentious architects from the 1960s who didn't understand that people didn't actually like brutalist architecture then and that nothing ages worse than brutalist architecture.


If you're going to put a SUNY school on the list, put Geneseo.
