Portland State will open its Big Sky Conference season in style this Saturday as the Vikings travel to meet the defending Big Sky Champion Southern Utah Thunderbirds. The Vikings (1-2) will take on a team (SUU, 1-1) that has had a week off to prepare for the season opener. PSU will try to turn things around after a pair of difficult road losses to FBS schools the past two weeks. PSU gave up 107 points and committed 10 turnovers in back-to-back defeats to San Jose State and Washington.*
