Assistant Coach (RB/QB) Jeremy Moses - Stephen F. Austin State (2011)

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CGH3OYWUoAARGFV.jpg

One of the most decorated players in Stephen F. Austin history, Jeremy Moses is entering his fifth season as an assistant coach for the Lumberjacks, working with SFA’s running backs and quarterbacks.

Moses spent the 2014 season mentoring Walter Payton Award finalist Gus Johnson, guiding the senior to the best rushing season in both SFA and Southland Conference history. It formed a unique storyline with a Payton Award winner mentoring a Payton Award finalist.

The first player in school or Southland Conference history to win the Walter Payton Award, given annually to the top player in Division I FCS, Moses has been a key member of the Lumberjack staff for the past two seasons, helping to mentor quarterback Brady Attaway, his former backup. Attaway closed out his SFA career by sitting second all-time in the Lumberjack record books in nearly every passing category, trailing only his mentor Moses.

Named to numerous All-America teams during his collegiate career, Moses rewrote the school and conference record books on his way to being named the NCAA FCS National Player of the Year. A two-time SLC Player of the Year selection, Moses left SFA as the NCAA’s all-time leader in completions at the FCS level.

Following his playing career, Moses spent one season at North Alabama as an assistant on Terry Bowden’s coaching staff before returning to his alma mater.

The 2011 SFA graduate is married to the former Jessica Miller.
