Thomas Fletcher, the top rated long snapper according to 247Sports, has narrowed his choices of schools down to five. On his final list is Alabama, Florida State, Texas A&M, Oregon and Portland State. I don't really know exactly what this means (he does say he is leaning towards Alabama), but I know I could die happy if by chance he chose Portland State over any of those other four. xthumbsupx

You could aptly call this phase of FCS recruiting the HS Class of 2017, "The Big Reach" making a dozen offers and hoping to get a couple guys who are also drawing significant FBS attention. FCS programs with proven success at this, are trying keep some guys they truly see as solid, likely prospects below the radar for several more months before making offers that are more likely to be accepted.
