Hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes by starting this thread first.

I will have my own photo gallery up soon (with photos from everywhere from the field to the top of the stadium...above the skyboxes)

But, until I can get them edited, here is a link to a Times-Free Press slideshow...

Seriously? That's disappointing. I was suprised they "let" you on the field again. xlolx Good to see the ASU fans out in force again. Met a lot of good ones last year. The rest are another story.

The annoucer man kept repeating on the loud speaker "At the conclusion of the game please remain in your seats..." Then when there was a minute left and all the ASU fans myself included had already surrounded the playing field I could still hear him saying "Please stay in your seats, Please stay in your seats!" Yeah I dont know how maybe 100 guards were supposed to stop 15,000 people but boy was it fun... I bet we set a record for number of people brought to Chatty by one school it was an amazing atmosphere

I'm sure it was amazing. You guys were a force last year. I worked security at an Iowa game once and they wanted us to keep people off the field. Totally not happening.

I've got a ton on my friends camera..my battery died so I didn't get many good ones...got some good ones of the game, and of course the girl running on the field....(I know the girl and the funniest part about it is she is legally blind at night because of some disease)----[and about her...the cops were being jerks to her and were taking her to jail, but Apps Chancellor convinced them to let her go with a warning],

also got a bunch of pictures with some UMASS fans...we tried to give them some encouragement during tailgate for having the balls to walk through the App tailgate area...they were getting booed pretty bad...but I think everyone was being pretty cool

Not trying to pick a fight, but how can you call the cops "jerks"? She ran out on to the field during the game...under no circumstances is that acceptable...she was treated very politely the whole time she was in custody...they were just doing their job (one of my buddies was in the NCAA skybox and Poppe just about busted a gasket when that happened).

That being said, I was standing next to the endzone when Peacock brought her back in...he went back over and shook hands with the three cops...and all was well (we all agreed that it was cool that he went and helped her out).

...and in case anyone was wondering, yes, unfortunately, a couple of App fans cut pieces out of the field again. Uncool! But, it can be fixed...and they will probably just send the bill to Charlie Cobb :D

Today was my busiest day of the year so far in the Gallery, so this is my first chance to get to the computer...I got some great crowd pics from the roof of the skybox...all the ASU fans out on the field. Once I get something to eat and relax, I will get back on and edit them and post them.

here's a pic from right next to my seats. I thought the Darth Vader patrol was pretty cool; they lose some points, though, for having "WE <3 ESPN" painted on their chests.

Anyway, the guy sitting in front of this crew (black jacket with an "A" on it) did an outstanding job at yelling "AND THAT'S ANOTHER MOUNTAINEER..." to cue up "FIRST DOWN" from the crowd. The woman in the gray had 3 little girls with her - one was a toddler and one eighteen months old. I did my best Matt Isenhour impression when everybody started rushing the field so nobody would step on the baby.

the reason i said was being jerks ( and i know what she did was stupid and she deserved whatever happened) but she said that most of the cops were being really nice to her except for one that was being a jerk and told my other friend that she would be held for 6 hours before bail and better expect around a 3,000 bail, which I told her was rediculous. I'm just going off what they told me. Her best friend came up to me at my seats asking if I had any money, but that was before Peacock got involved.

This is one of my favorites, since you can read the trophies - the last I-AA trophy and the first D-I trophy

Thanks! It was a great game. Even though we lost, it was fun to be part of the game.

Appalachian State has a great team and we at UMass want to play the best.

Let's do it again next December!

Let's do it again next December!

I was noticing during the DIII on Saturday that 5 of the 6 teams in the NCAA divisions that have a football playoff were repeats from last year. UMass was the only team that did not play last year. Also, all three teams defended last years national championships.

Another excited Appalachian State student, this one in full Mountaineer getup, cheers on his team.
That's my hat and beard, which I lent to the girl (not a "him") sitting next to me.
