Former Idaho State standout Jared Allen is calling it a career after twelve seasons in the NFL. His retirement announcement is memorable to say the least.

Thoroughly enjoyed his time with the Vikings. He was definitely a one-of-a-kind type of NFL player off the field.

Now the question will be is he a hall of famer? The only HOF eligible player with more career sacks (Allen had 136) who's not in is Kevin Greene (who had 160). Allen is currently tied for 9th all-time at 136 but he's tied with Julius Peppers and Demarcus Ware is only 1.5 behind him so he'll probably be 11th by next October.

I thought he started college at Le Cordon Bleu and transferred to the Culinary Institute.

I thought Ware was retiring as well?
