Tommy Restivo has been hired as the defensive coordinator at McNeese. Restivo served as quality control coach of the defense at Florida in 2008 and 2009. In 2009, working under DC Charlie Strong and HC Urban Myer, the Gators won the national championship. With this title, Charlie Strong was hired as head coach at Louisville. Coach Restivo followed Strong to Louisville to remain as quality control coach of defense. Restivo was promoted in 2012 to secondary coach for Louisville. After the 2013 season, Coach Strong left for Texas . With a new staff at Louisville, Restivo was hired at South Carolina State to be their defensive coordinator. Coach Restivo worked in 2014 and 2015 as DC at South Carolina State prior to being interviewed for the McNeese job.
