Not sure if there have been any threads on this but what players from your school are going to any bowls (senior bowl, blue/white, hula bowl...etc etc)

For Illinois State

Long Snapper "Mr. Automatic" Jake Weber
Wide Receiver Laurent Robinson

Both going to the Hula Bowl to follow in the foot steps of DE Brent Hawkins and Punter Ryan Hofman from last years Redbird team.

The Senior Bowl doesn't usually announce players till after they've played their last game, so i'm sure they're waiting to see what BS players accept first..

JMU's QB Justin Rascati has been invited to the Las Vegas All-American Classic, a "post-season all-star event for senior football players with professional football potential."

Thanks for the list SCFBFan! I didn't even know AB was invited to the North-South Bowl! Real question is though, is Virginia in the South, or the North? ;)

There might be a few guys missing but I have been keeping up with the list when I can.

I think it is BOTH? LOL

The first game coming up is the Magnolia Grid Iron Classic. It is next week!

Only Murrell from APP?

Only Murrell from APP?

Only one so far. The others are just too small, except Mayfield and I doubt many people know about him since he was a breakout player.

I bet there will be more than one next year.

He is on my list. I looked because I thought I missed it but he is there! I listed all the bowls next to each other that a player has been invited to and noted if they backed out and why if I found that out.

North-South and East-West designations typically come from conference affiliation (A-10 grew out of the Yankee Conference so it's still North). They usually move a few players around in an attempt to balance the rosters.

Yea, I was under the impression that a lot of ASU's bigger names were underclassmen. Which, by the way, is freakishly scary...

I never quite understood how they split up those teams. Sometimes Maryland players are on the North, some years they are on the South. I guess player depth determines for the tweener states.

Is Maryland a Northern or Southern state, is a common question in real life.

Not if you live in the South.

Not if you live in the South.
If you've ever been to the Eastern Shore or Southern Maryland, you'd think twice.
Maryland was occupied during the Civil War. 75% of the state assembly was jailed so as to prevent them from ceceeding, leaving Washington completely surrounded. It's an interesting area.

Just saying. I'm in Central Maryland, in Baltimore and identify with the North more than the South.
