Thanks for the tidbit. I followed Bragalone last year as Delaware was recruiting him - Lehigh surely did get a great RB - glad to see he's doing well.

If Georgetown does indeed follow through with the facility improvement then the Hoyas have a shot. It's been proven that the grant in aid route can have a pretty high ceiling. Given what Georgetown has to offer overall, the Hoyas don't have to be hopeless imo.

With that said, it's on Georgetown to make the commitment. That's why they've generally been terrible the last 15 years.....

Next year will be interesting. The league has the POTENTIAL to be 3-4 teams deep. Colgate will be fringe Top 10 with Fordham and potentially Lehigh getting some Top 25 to love to start the year. Holy Cross will be interesting too. I think they'll be two teams that finish in the regular season Top 15/20. The league has to get better on defense. Fordham and Lehigh were horrific on that side of the ball. Holy Cross was not much better....

Bucknell seems too "meh" to be relevant nationally. Lafayette has too huge of a hole to climb out of to seriously consider competing in 2016.

Not now. PL redshirt rules quite restrictive,more as a budgetary move than any deep philosophical attachment. Partly a holdover from our Ivy Lite origin. Inasmuch as Ivies are selective in following the spirit of the rules by moving athletes in and out of school,that basis is weak. Seems likely that PL will broaden eligibility somewhat . It is one of the major stumbling blocks to any expansion the number of football members.

Lehigh likely to have 2 also in Lambert and Knott.
LU brought in a huge class ,half of whom could have been redshirted under NCAA rules. CAA routinely does this. The rule difference pretty much precludes any of those schools seriously considering a move to PL.

He's not saying that it does. Better facilities plus GU's well dserved reputation will help the program. Whether or not Hoyas ever go schollie,the only answer to their situation is funding. Hoyas with 40 equivalencies would be quite competitive.

With G'town's panache, and improved facilities they can compete with the 'grant in aid' model as opposed to athletic scholarships. They can give out the same money, just in a different model based on need.

I question this argument on a number of levels. If it were the case, why did none of the other six schools adopt it?
