I'm going to assume that the fact that Crowser returned a fumble for a TD that is why he got the nod over Tyrone Holmes for Defensive Player of the Year?? I'm a little confused....

James Cowser, DE, Southern Utah – 62 TT (29 solo), 17 TFL, 11 SK, 3 QBH, 2 FR with 100 return yards and 1 TD, 3 FF (11 games)

Tyrone Holmes (http://www.gogriz.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1716), DE, Montana – 77 TT (28 solo), 17.5 TFL, 14 SK, 7 QBH, 2 FF (11 games)

I know it's an individual award but I think it is because SUU was the better defensive team.

Impressive that Santiago was a unanimous selection as a freshman. He and Cookus are probably going to be front runners for the Jerry Rice award as well I'd think.

The Danimal....

Are you a co-manager in a certain Bozeman-related fantasy football league?

I live in the Missoula area but yes I am. Are you in the league? I believe I named it "Montana Grizzlies"?

It seems it's because they have KVA listed as an ILB instead of OLB. You gotta wonder who screwed that up.

KVA not being first team is a sham. I also think Cowser got the nod over Tyrone because A)better team B) lifetime achievement award for setting FCS tackles for loss

How was Holmes not a unanimous selection?

My conspiracy theory is that Lamb didn't vote for him to make Cowser look better!

That was my conspiracy theory, too, especially for the Defensive MVP award.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess Kupp is the favorite to win offensive player of the year again next year.

I think Reilley Hennessey (EWU QB) will be a Payton candidate next year assuming we don't lose our #2 and #4 receivers in the first 2 games again. Coop should be the front runner this year, what a beast!

EDIT:
Cookus is going to be a monster the next 4 years...
