ISU beat the third, fourth and sixth place teams and lost to the fifth in the MVFC. NDSU beat the third, fourth and fifth place teams and lost to the sixth at home.

Eastern and North Dakota could both be playoffs teams, so it's a wash.
SDSU, pretty simple. They may have ended up 5th in the conference after tie breakers but should be clearly 3rd when it comes to conference pecking order in eyes of the selection committee. NDSU clearly has better wins with that SDSU win. ISUr clearly has better losses. NDSU also has the autobid. I think it'll be tight but I think NDSU gets the edge because of the autobid with NDSU's quality wins and ISUr's quality losses cancelling each other out.

They try to optimize for travel. W&M and Richmond have a rematch in the 2nd round, as do SHSU and McNeese, and Coastal and Chuck South. UNH and JMU missed each other in the regular season this year but they have a CAA vs CAA scenario brewing as well.

The committee obviously has a bias for the MVFC (misplaced IMO) and the only thing that is going to change that is for teams from the other conferences to beat them in the playoffs. With them all being in the same bracket there are very limited opportunities for that to happen. Unfortunately, with this regional BS I don't see that changing anytime soon. The conference could totally go downhill and there would still be this artificial vacuum in which they are the greatest thing ever.

Ok, I'm not happy about the bracket either but you have to beat good teams every week after this first couple rounds of the playoffs.
