His throwing is a little better. Still just on his throwing skills he is NOT a D1 QB, certainly not a top 50 FCS QB. McNesse needs to run a lot more read-option/ wildcat to get him to beat better defenses.

Playoffs are all about match-ups and a little luck. If McNeese gets a favorable seed/draw which now is entirely possible I can seem them as a semifinal team. There are so many bad defensive teams that Sams could be dangerous against the right team. With that said, any team with a stout D will cause Sams all sorts of problems...

Sams needs a QB spy and man. If you play good assignment other than that McNesse will lose. There are probably 10 teams in the FCS that can do that, will they? Don't know.

Except for the deep balls, the offense was pretty basic. Coach V's playsheet must of only had plays on one side. That hammering them for 2 & 3 yard runs paid off into long runs in the 4th. Coach V loves using end arounds to set up plays but we only ran 1 all night. My boy Kent Shelby had a pretty good night. His one handed catch was awesome. It was good to see a descent turnout by the Bearkat fans.
