13,058 at Harvard for an epic battle with Dartmouth.

Very disappointing turnout. I thought they'd break 20k for sure, with good weather and a battle of two first-place teams.

I predicted TV would depress turnout. Yale-Penn last Friday similarly underachieved, presumably for the same reasons.

The past 5 years have seen unprecedented access to Ivy games. Yet in-game attendance has taken a noticeable downturn. The two are probably related.

Not sure why they played on Friday night. I would bet 20+ on Saturday afternoon.

2,610 in the rain and cold to see Western's offense wallow around on the field a bit and lose by 2 to Youngstown State.

Sparse 7498 braved the driving rain, wind and cool temps at ISUr Hancock 2.0 to see the Redbirds extend the FCS longest home winning streak.

Disappointing home coming crowd of 5,000 at Homer Bryce Stadium for a 55-21 win for the Jacks of SFA over UIW.

I estimate 8-9,000 at Goodman for the Georgetown game. Home side was 90% full, with a lot of people (including myself, daughter and two grandkids) on the horseshoe hill, and close to 1,000 in the East stands. Gorgeous day for football and South Mountain was a tremendous mix of orange, red and yellow.

Very nice showing.

9,414 in Williamsburg for the down-to-the-wire disposal of JMU.

Not bad though this was the first time this game hadn't sold out since 2003 (6 straight sellouts). I think the NBCSN coverage, Halloween evening along with the previous week being Homecoming (and a sellout) were all factors holding it down.

general trend of attending live sporting events is down nationwide.... football is a beautiful TV sport and TV is getting better and better!

The "official" stated attendance was 7,995. Not a bad estimate from yesterday.

Agree about above statement about attendance being down nationwide. Social media and especially all the free streaming has had a substantial impact.

Harvard and Dartmouth had the same issue with the TV coverage. Halloween undoubtedly a factor, not so much for students but for alumni with kids.

Especially for on the fence fans who don't tailgate, or don't want to sit in the elements.

That was seriously disappointing. A beautiful day with a likely win to go to 5-0 and that is all we got? I am not sure The Citadel faithful realized what was at stake. Hopefully we pack the stands to cheer on the Bulldogs in our quest to retain the Silver Shako and go 6-0 in the SOCON. Hopefully homecoming will bring them out. I will add two the attendance figures. I wonder if the SOCON network last year and ESPN 3 is having an impact at all. It is, but how big?

Halloween is tough for out of towners with young kids. No way I was travelling anywhere Saturday. I could have swung an early game in DC, but that's about it.

A weak 5,300 to watch CSU take down CCU. Talked to a friend that was there and he said it seemed like a lot more than that.
