Anyone watching this on PLN via computer? I am not getting any video. "Technical difficulties" from Christy Matthewson??? Lehigh winning 14-7 early in the second.

Bad throw by Shaf gets picked and returned about 50 yards.....

He doesn't have the zip on the ball to get it out there. It was like watching in slow motion....

Working OK on my laptop. Not working on my Smart TV. For the most part, Campus Insiders broadcasts are really poor. Hard to imagine the league can't find a better provider.

Just had a big interception on Shafnisky pass. Ouch!

Will they play conservative or try to push it downfield?

I don't think it was his arm. Everyone could see that coming. DB jumped the route as if he was the receiver

I guess if the goal was the give your kicker a shot at a 53 yard FG that was an excellent drive....xchinscratchx

IMO, this is the biggest drawback of our OC. The % of plays designed for more than a 5yd gain is way too low. Dink and dunk can work to an extent, but it has to be offset by down field throws. Haven't seen much diversity with the offense since Cecchini left.

Lehigh gets ball first in 2nd half. Will be absolutely crucial to get points off that opening drive.

They ran the ball 3 times after the missed FG. They weren't even trying until Bragalone got the first down. He never once attempted to throw the ball more than 10 yards downfield. How do you not take a shot and see if you can get a PI or a lucky bounce? I'd rather an INT deep in Bucknell territory than a missed 53 yarder...

Shafnisky DOES seem to lock too firmly on just one receiving target. I'm OK with the long field goal attempt. Would have been a school record, I think. The percentage chance of a long Shafnisky pass completion would be equally low. I was hoping to see a 'different' Lehigh team this weekend. So far, I don't.

It's seems like two very "meh" teams. I only saw the last 10 minutes of the 2nd quarter and it was ugly.

At this point, you are right, a lead is about the most exciting thing that has happened so far this year.

On the last drive? I didn't see it. Unless it was the one to Gatlin Casey? That a fringe downfield throw.

Good to start the league at 1-0. Bucknell as presently constructed is a rather poor team, especially on offense. They really have no weapons. Be interesting to see what happens at Fordham. Their offense is much closer to JMU/Princeton than Bucknell.

Lehigh's offense was very workman like today. I don't know if the can generate enough explosive plays to keep up with the Rams.

Lehigh had some great pressure on Nitti today. Considering LU's two top tacklers did not play today, a stellar effort.

Coen says the word last night was to "Thrive, not just survive". LU ran 27 more plays than BU. Brags over 100 yards, Nana 55 yards and Shafnisky 68 yards (net after -27 on sacks).
LU defense had 4 sacks today, and missed a couple. Overall, great pressure.

Lehigh's offense was very workman like today. I don't know if the can generate enough explosive plays to keep up with the Rams.

just watched game... Good to see OL control LOS. Shaf's numbers OK, but his pick and that late sack are NOT want you want from a two yr starter. He also took off 3 times when his RB picked up blitz, instead of stepping up and hitting a route that crossed his sight line if he kept his eyes downfield. Plays like that kill defenses and gain 3rd down conversions or points.

Now, I'm not ripping on the kid, I like him. But for our offense to make the jump to really help our team challenge against better teams, he NEEDS to make those plays. And the D seemed to blitz more today, applied more pressure, tackled well. Here's to hoping we clean things up for two weeks and give Fordham a game. I'm excited to see if they can challenge. We've seen pieces. With all the FCS scores today, who knows what can happen. I'm heading to NYC in two weeks to see if we put some things together.
