Bob sounds like he has a "dad bod". Which luckily is in fashion with the ladies somehow.

The way it's been explained to me, it isn't that the ladies like "dad bods", it's that they're increasingly resigned to the fact that there aren't enough guys with six-packs to go around for everybody.
