xlolx Don't feel bad. The only reason I am leading by ONE point is because Lamar did so well Saturday and I picked an upset in week one. Otherwise I'd only have 2 points. The past two years I've been knocked out week 4 myself! xlolx

Never thought I'd ever say this, but Nicholls v. UIW may be the most compelling game in the conference.

i might be eliminated before ACU's real season begins. The first two weeks we were either prohibitive underdogs or overwhelming the overwhelming favorite. We did what was expected of us. The next two weeks we play teams that are more even match ups--SFA and UCA. We are about to find out whether we deserve the "break out candidate" label assigned to us before the season started.

That's true. UCA also had its first game where the team installed a new defense which proved ineffective since it was the first real game situation for them using it. Samford took advantage of that. Oklahoma State wasn't as effective. But what concerns me is the offense which averaged over 40 points a game is now apparently gone. Strange because we only lost one WR to the NFL draft and he wasn't even the most effective receiver we had. Campbell spread it around last year. Next year is going to be a massacre on our team losing 26 of our most effective players. Oh well, tailgating will be fun though.. xlolx

I feel your pain. We brought back all but two starters and look nothing like the team that went to the playoffs. We may not end up with a winning record in conference.

We all fell for that possum act last year after the D-II loss xeyebrowx. Not doing it this year xsmhx JJ wil be the QB and things will start rolling again like last year. It will be interesting to see if Lamar can continue to generate the offense it has the first three weeks.

I will say this. Kade Harrington is a LEGIT running back for Lamar.

He has given McNeese fits the last two years. Kid runs hard and has good speed. He is a handful no doubt.

I watched the entire Sam v. Lamar game. Two observations.

Sam's QB threw WAAAAY too hard at his receivers or missed them completely. He looked strong but some of those passes could have been toned down a bit.

Lamar's Harrington made Sam's defense look like it was going half speed even in the fourth quarter. Kid had wheels.
