I think only like 17460 were disappointed, the other 12 were JU fans

5,985 watched Western Illinois shut down Eastern Illinois last Thursday (better than the 3,584 that showed up for our opener last year and actually, better attendance than any of our home games last year except for one...Drake...for some odd reason).

Here's what that looks like, for anyone who's curious (you can see our small student section standing up way off at the right side, also, this was during halftime, so some people had gotten out of their seats to go grab food and stuff): https://i.imgur.com/0ulWfzk.jpg

12,800 for EKU vs. Valpo. Looked great at kickoff but emptied out quickly after the half. Good weather with lots of students to see a 52 - 10 win. We'll see how many make it back in 3 weeks following a game at NC State and an open week.

ElCid
September 7th, 2015, 09:00 PM
A very disappointing 8665 braved the pregame storms and deluge to watch the Dogs munch on Wildcat. Too many things to do in Charleston on Labor Day weekend...I hope.

September 8th, 2015, 11:29 AM
22,523 on the banks of the majestic Hudson for Army-Fordham...

30,144 to see SDSU take down Kansas. Stadium capacity is 50,071. That place looked emptier than that.

I watched it on TV. 30k was embellishing it a bit. It was MAYBE half full.
What can you expect from the worst ranked BCS football program though?

Just reading off the "official" attendance. ;)
Being at the game, I agree. Half full was pushing it. It was definitely not half full at kickoff.

The actual butts in seats was 247. It's tough having big blue right down the street...

28,015 in the heat at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis for the Red Raiders and the Midshipmen.

DFW HOYA
September 8th, 2015, 06:55 PM
All of 1,836 at St. Francis last week, but in perspective, it was 1) their biggest crowd in three years, and 2) it was 500 more people than in the entire town of Loretto, PA...so they've got that going for them.

SFA 93
September 8th, 2015, 08:15 PM
8,473 Nacogdoches, Texas Homer Bryce Stadium.

An announced "20,872" in Buffalo for Albany's opener. They're lucky if there were over 14k in the house.

Some HS stadiums in TX are pretty impressive, but I don't think that was quite your intent xeyebrowx

Drawing people to Loretto is never easy but that 1,863 is 600 more than the Red Flash averaged last season and only about 250 below the Hoya's 2014 average.

McNeese72
September 9th, 2015, 08:12 AM
The game-that-wasn't in Baton Rouge was a sell out. So that was somewhere north of 100K whatever Tiger Stadium's capacity is now. But no official game so no official attendance. It would have been the largest crowd that McNeese has ever played in front of.

Doc, I thought it was cowardly of LSU using a lame 'weather' excuse to avoid facing McNeese.
Though it has to make the cowboys feel good knowing they are that intimidating!
