The Catamounts have signed a deal to play the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill for two football games. one in 2017 and the second in 2018, it was announced today by the Catamount Athletic Office.

Western doesn't seem to be having any problems scheduling FBS money games.

Looks like we are just going to schedule 2 FBS games from here on out. Don't mind the money but it would be nice with just 1 or 2 a year.

Is UNC-CH also considered a "directional" university. I noticed that the WCU press release last week listed South Carolina as "directional".

I don't really like 2 FBS games each year. Wofford is doing that, but at least one of those games is against Idaho.

With two FBS games and one sub-D1 in a year, a team is forced to go 7-1 for the rest of the year to have a shot at an at-large bid in an 11 game season to get to 7 D-I wins.

Nice pick up WCU! App never had any luck getting a game with the Tarholes.
