The unprecedented four-time defending national champion North Dakota State Bison have been tabbed to win the Missouri Valley Football Conference crown in 2015.
In the past four seasons, NDSU has produced four NCAA Division I Football titles, four-straight MVFC titles (2 outright, 2 shared) and an overall record of 58-3. This year, NDSU earned 32 of a possible 40 first-place votes and 389 total points in a poll conducted by league coaches, media and sports information directors.
Last year's co-champ Illinois State received the other eight first-place tallies and is slated for second in the poll. The Redbirds lost the FCS title game, 29-27, to NDSU last year, marking the only time in FCS history two teams from the same league played one another for the crown.
UNI, South Dakota State and Indiana State each earned a playoff spot in 2014, and each won a post-season game. They are slated 3rd, 5th, and 6th, respectively. Youngstown State, one of two league schools with a new head coach (MSU the other), is picked fourth in the poll. The Penguins tied Indiana State for 5th last year.
A pre-season favorite has claimed the league crown 17 times (in 29 previous polls). North Dakota State was picked to win the league last season. Valley Football is celebrating its 31st season in 2015. In its first 30 seasons the league owns six national crowns.

Here is Dom Izzo's ballot and players he selected.

The Missouri Valley will release its preseason poll and all-conference team on Monday, I had the privilege of voting on each of these, and much like last year with the Sports Network Top 25 Poll, I’ll make my votes public. The one difference with the preseason Valley poll as opposed to the postseason is that I am allowed to vote for the team that I cover, this being NDSU. Feel free to rip if you need to.

Does anyone else have the ballots and player lists from other voters?

Poll looks pretty good to me. I'd put SDSU at 3 and bump down UNI and YSU one each but I can see the argument to leave it as is.

I thought the Redbirds and Bison might be a little closer.

Yeah, I thought the 1st place votes would be closer too. But what's interesting is either 3 of the 8 ballots that didn't have NDSU at 1 had them at 3 or one of those ballots had them at 5 (so some combination of 3 and 4 on two ballots). Likewise of the 32 ballots that had NDSU at 1 only 2 of them had Illinois St at 3 (or one of them had them at 4). Methinks there are a few voters in this poll tired of seeing the Bison at the top of it.

I'm surprised the coaches and media put YSU so high in the poll.

WIU will finish higher than 8th imo.
