North Dakota State Bison

46 days until Bison Football!

#46 Andrew Bonnet has been a staple of the Bison offense since being named to the All-Missouri Valley Newcomer team his freshmen season in 2012.*

Few schools use the FB/TE position with as much success as the Bison and Bonnet is another in a long line of bruising, ball catching fullbacks. In the NDSU offensive, he's been a key cog in a rushing attack that's produced five 1,000 rushers in his three seasons with the Herd.*

A dangerous pass catching back, Bonnet was the team's sixth leading receiver with 18 catches for 228 yards and two touchdowns in 2014. He had career-high four catches and 44 yards in the NCAA semifinal win over Sam Houston State. He was named Sports Network All-America third team honoree last season and also collected College Sporting can't wait to see #46 and the Herd in action when they take the field at Montana on August 29th in front of a national audience on ESPN.
21001
http://www.wday.com/sports/football/3750945-countdown-ndsus-2015-kickoff46.*Andrew Bonnet came to Fargo as a lightly recruited running back out of Iowa in 2011. When he was inserted into the lineup, Bonnet didn't waste any time in showing his athleticism. He leapt over a Prairie View defender in 2012 that still has Bison fans in awe. His ability to catch the football and run over would be tacklers has turned him into one of the best players in the Missouri Valley Conference. Bonnet was named all-first team in the league last year, and has been named a preseason All-American for 2015. NDSU is one of the few teams that still uses the fullback position and Bonnet is a devastating blocker. He has better hands than most teams realize and will be a target for Carson Wentz this season. Bonnet had 18 catches in 2014, I could see that number getting up to 30 this season as I believe he's going to be on the field a whole lot more in 2015.
Good luck with the upcoming season and in the classroom Andrew. Andrew has a great opportunity this fall to be part of 5 National Championship teams as a player.
