Breakout player for the Tribe will likely be WR/KR Devonte Dedmon. Don't be surprised to see him as All-CAA.

He's well known around the CAA. He would have made the 3rd team and almost made the 2nd team.

Actually only 3 players from UNH, all one your First Team. unless you want to count Casey DeAndrade twice. No love for the UNH Wildcats on the 2nd Team. A few Defensive players who deserve consideration: DBs Patrick Mensah and Dougie Moss. LB DeVaughn Chollette

Actually this is pretty good news for UNH. Coach McDonnell is a master of using a lack of respect and lowered expectations to get an already motivated team even more spun up.

UNH has a Freshman PK who every CAA fan will soon have heard of: Robert Kelly. Check this video out: http://unhwildcats.com/sports/fball/2014-15/videos/zodyd-

Not at all! You had 2 I considered for 2nd or 3rd team. You did lost some major production on offense!

Villanova DEs Reggie Paris & Tanoh Kpassanon are players to watch.

Kpassanon is 6'7" 270lbs. & runs a 4.7ish 40. Scary athlete who was hurt for part of the 2014 season. I expect him to have a break out season if healthy.

Nova Offense gets a lot of the press, but it might be the defense that carries them further this season.

Looking forward to a competitive CAA season.

UR DL Evan Kelly, Richmond, Sr. has transferred to Boston College with 1 year of eligibility
remaining. As a graduate student he will play immediately for the Eagles.Equally as good as Kelly is Jr DL Winston Craig,if you are looking for a legitimate backfill.

I have added Paris after making a couple corrections.

I realized that just after posting. There are a couple other changes I'm going to make.

I somehow missed that. That's what I get for taking a month off and then putting all this together fast! Corrected it up top.

How much would you like to wager on your estimate that there will only be 3 UNH players named to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd All Conference teams at the end of the 2015 regular season? If your answer is $0, I recommend you do more research before producing your never ending preseason prognostications. To be fair, you were highly critical of other preseason rankings and award predictions that included players who will not be playing FCS football in 2015.

I had somehow missed those who had been kicked off teams. That's a little different than missing players drafted or signed by NFL teams. These players were suppose to be coming back but transferred or were booted and I somehow missed the release. It's impossible to miss the NFL Draft or free agent signings. Many of those listed by that website were clearly listed as seniors last year and were not even on roster in January, 5 months before they released those teams. I think the ones I did not see were simply lost in the news cycle and were in the last few weeks.

I'm not even sure when the Richmond DL left. I remembered the JMU kids being dismissed and knew about the CB but forgot about the LB. I did not even see about the DL from Richmond.

I do think UNH should have more. Who else would you suggest and who would you drop though? Based on what everyone did last year I put the players who had the most production or seemed to pop out the most on tape. I assume you guys have some backups who didn't play much or newcomers who have really stood out in the spring?

Plus, I had not sent to SIDs because I'm not posting this list on a website as an official preseason team. If I was then I would have sent it out to SIDs and had those fixed before I sent them.

Other UNH players that should be considered are Daniel Rowe (Great year last year), Hayden Knudson, and Dalton Crossan (Hurt last year but had a breakout year in 2013, will get a TON of carries this year). I would even consider Julian Turner or Rashid Armand at DT. IMO a player to watch for the cats is Cam Shorey at DE. He started to get lots of PT last year and now has to step in as a starter, lots of potential with his size and speed to be a real problem for other teams.

Im fine with your assessment though. UNH has always lacked in these awards but is year in and year out the best "team" in the CAA. The team itself doesnt really care for these accolades anyway, just the media department and coaches Im sure.

I heard his status was unknown. I'll go with the known. I bumped up a Maine LB to 2nd team and added a LB from Towson to the 3rd team. Thanks for the find!

There will definitely be some more! I think the big thing UNH does well is they reload. You lose an All-CAA LB and maybe the next year his replacement doesn't make the list but a year after that he does or they lose an All-American QB and replace him with an All-CAA one or a better one. UNH does a great job of developing players.

A couple other UNH posters beat me to the punch on suggesting more possible UNH 2nd and 3rd teamers. I realize it is really hard to predict UNH offensive players for all conference honors beyond MCNeely(OL) and Sean Goldrich, because so many Seniors graduated after the 2014-15 season. I posted before seeing your 3rd team picks and missed seeing Goldrich. Good to see you agree that we can expect to see more All Conference offensive players from UNH in November. As for the defensive side, between the names I gave you in my first post Mensah(DB), Moss(DB) and Chollette(LB) and the names provided by others Knudson(S), Rowe(S), Turner(DL) and Armand (DL) several more 2nd and 3rd defensive teamers are justified right now.
