Arguably, behind NDSU, we are the runnern up for the most successful team since 2010. People keep forgetting that we have reloaded every year through many offensive star changes. EWU is not beating Oregon. If they do beat them they should be #1 FCS team and should be a top 10 FBS team.

EWU has certainly built up a lot of equity, and deservedly so.

As prolific as the Eagle offense is the defense has become equally horrific. EWU gave up 50+ points in two of their wins last year. The loss of Vernon Adams is going to hurt. Especially with @ Oregon, @ UNI and Montana State to start the year. The Eagles will be in the playoffs more than likely. I just don't see them as title contenders as a Top 5 ranking would suggest.

I would argue that since they hold no championships and we hold one, then we get that title.

EWU: 1 national championship, 2 semifinal appearances, one quarterfinal appearance. No appearance in 2011.
SHSU: 2 runner-ups, 1 semifinal appearance. No appearance in 2010 and 2013
