Anyone know when an initial SOS rating for 2015 FCS should come out? Just curious.

Massey's SOS is out. Its the column called SSF. I don't know when Sagarin or some of the other ratings will be out.

Western Ill. has the toughest schedule, Eastern Tenn the easiest. Liberty is 26th.

Thanks. I love to see this stuff across the board. I thought LU's would be close to top 10 when JMU was on the schedule. I don't think So Ill dropped LU that far thought. interesting

8. South Dakota State
9. Youngstown State

no joke

I was going to do a "one of these things is not like the other" joke, but I'd have to extend the list beyond ten.

Those 1 and 2 SOS are legit. Personally I'd put UNI's higher.

It makes sense for the Bison to be tenth in that the other teams in the MVFC have them as one of their SOS scores--so thus, the other teams would have slightly higher SOS--on the other hand, NDSU's SOS is slightly lowered by being in the League with teams that have relatively lower power ratings.

We don't have a FBS opponent this year. 3 teams from the Big Sky don't help especially Weber and ND.

SIU is rated at 11 and JMU at 23 so swapping SIU for JMU is actually a bit of on uptick in the SOS department. However, Delaware State and Kennesaw are rated 110 and 123, respectively, out of 125.

WCU is at Tennessee and Texas A&M. Pretty tough right there. GO CATS!

That splains it Lib, Thanks. I have been psyched for the Montana rematch here in the Burg since I left Missoula. I think Senior Josh Woodrum with a lot of weapons does way better than Freshman Josh Woodrum (first start) did in Missoula.
Hopefully there will not be smoke all over in Lynchburg. And the Coastal Game, Apprehensively confident and excited to see this one.

Anyone know who has the strongest all FCS schedules? Those are the teams that should be saluted imo...

Have SFA at #27 but that is with Tarleton State. With Northern Arizona instead I say in the top 15 SOS.

Preseason polls various spots but wow for us...

#22 Northern Arizona
#2 @TCU
#17 McNeese State
#3 Sam Houston State
#14 @SE Louisiana
@Central Arkansas
@Northwestern State

If we want to look at only FCS portion of schedules UNI and WIU still run right at the top

UNI - 1 instate and winnable FBS game only
Sat, Sep 12 vs Eastern Washington
Sat, Sep 19 @ Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
Sat, Oct 03 @ Illinois State
Sat, Oct 10 @ North Dakota State
Sat, Oct 17 vs Western Illinois
Sat, Oct 24 @ South Dakota State
Sat, Oct 31 vs South Dakota
Sat, Nov 07 vs Indiana State
Sat, Nov 14 @ Missouri State
Sat, Nov 21 vs Southern Illinois

WIU - 1 instate and winnable FBS game only
9/3/2015 vs Eastern Illinois
9/19/2015 @ Coastal Carolina
10/3/2015 vs Southern Illinois
10/10/2015 vs South Dakota
10/17/2015 @ Northern Iowa
10/24/2015 @ Illinois State
10/31/2015 vs Youngstown State
11/7/2015 @ North Dakota State
11/14/2015 @ Indiana State
11/21/2015 vs South Dakota State

Add pretty much any MVFC team into that. There isn't a single FCS program that comes close to those two schedules (outside of the MVFC)

Well to be fair, NDSU doesn't have to play itself ever so naturally the SOS will be lower.
