FYI,

Chuck South is already eliminated. They could be 10-1, but they played four games against sub-Div I foes...

Chuck South and Cal Poly are out. Neither can reach seven D-I wins.

Personally, I think Coastal is already in, even with a loss. I just don't see which of the teams you have below them would have a better resume than a team that would be 8-3 (all D-I games) with wins over Furman, Wofford, and South Carolina State.

I will not be surprised if Wofford makes it in as a 7-4

and

I would not want to play them in the first round

But they're 7-4 with 7 D1 wins, which means they are on the board right?

Also, what about Delaware State? They are 8-3...do they get into the conversation at all? My guess is 'no' would be the answer, but just asking some of you who are smarter than I. :)

Technically yes, but they got blown out in several of their key games: 28-7 to Maine, 35-0 to UMass, and 38-3 to JMU. Towson hasn't proved to be competitive against the playoff-caliber teams in its conference.

DSU has only seven D-I wins against a weak schedule. No way.

Towson is out........although they would be a good road team.......I believe they were 5-0 on the road.

All 7-4 teams are out......

If Eastern Illinois wins, count on two four-loss teams getting into the field, EIU and Portland State. Trust me on Portland State. They were pretty much already in after finishing their season last week from the stuff we're being told.

They're trailing by 3 with a quarter to go after falling behind by 14,so you may be right.

If MSU gets by UM,do you still think Portland State gets in?

13-7 Montana 7 minutes to go

Only if EIU loses. I don't see anything on Portland State's resume that should vault them over an EIU team that would have one more win.

Why so much bandwagoning PSU? We beat them so if you aren't going to include us, leave them out. Put in UNI if they win, along with EIU. My .02

Quality wins over South Dakota State, Youngstown State, Western Kentucky, and Illinois State (if they pull it off) are what would give UNI the edge for me. PSU's best I-AA win is Northern Arizona (to go with its season-opening win over New Mexico). Blowout losses to Cal and Oregon tell me absolutely nothing about how good a I-AA team PSU is, since I would expect every I-AA team to get blown out by Cal and Oregon. So I don't see why so many people count those losses in PSU's favor. IMHO, a 7-4 UNI, even with the early D-II loss, will have offered much more evidence that it can beat playoff-caliber I-AA teams. That's why I would take them over PSU. Apparently, though, that puts me in the minority, and it seems likely that PSU will get the bid regardless of what the Panthers do today.

I agree with most of what you say, but the Panthers have their work cut out for them today against Illinois State.

New Mexico (who PSU beat) is 5-5

UNI also has bad losses at home (WIU and UND[who is a good DII school- but the committee won't like it)

PSU has no bad losses

Plus I think UNI will lose so it shouldn't matter anyway
